Meet Chelle of Dapper Snappers!
Get 25% off orders $25 or more! Use code minewkit.
Tell us a little about you . . .
My name is Michelle and I am 37 years old (but I'm still 25 at heart!). I am an On the Go Mom of 2; a 3 1/2 year old son who just started preschool and a 21 month old daughter who likes to take on kids twice her size in the church nursery. I am happily married to a fabulous man and together we like to spend time inventing, running Cazella Innovations Inc, and raising our beautiful kids. I'm a fan of hockey and like to watch Lost, Hereos, How I met your Mother, and American Idol (not that I have time to watch these, but I catch them when I force myself to sit down and relax). Above all else, I am a Christian.
What is your business and where can we find it?
My business is Toddler Tech USA, a division of Cazella Innovations Inc. Our product, Dapper Snappers "Fix Droopy Drawers in a Snap!" is the perfect way to cinch up your kids' pants. The Dapper Snapper is a short piece of suspender elastic with snaps that fits in the back 3 beltloops of your child's pants and snaps over the outer 2. It is one size fits all, adjustable to 4 sizes, and it meant for children ages 9 months to 5 years. You can find them at
http://www.dappersnappers.com/ as well as a few boutiques. You can also find them at
http://www.toddlertechusa.com/. We plan on selling other mom-invented products on that site as well.
Is it mom-owned, invented, created . . .?
All of the above! My son was the inspiration for Dapper Snappers. After fighting with Dritz Fashion Fit Clips, I new there had to be a better way to keep his pants up. And I really needed that way to be adjustable. After a year in research and development, Dapper Snappers were perfected and ready to market. Dapper Snappers currently come in 9 colors and we just introduced our newest line for the fall/winter, Snapcessories™.
A little about your entrepreneur journey so far?
It's been amazing! I have met so many great people and made a lot of friends. I can't believe what a learning experience this all has been. I really had no idea what I was getting into when I decided that I would only use supplies made in the USA and that I would not outsource the production of Dapper Snappers. One day, I asked my husband why he didn't just kill me when I made the decision to manufacture these things myself. He said that I would have just come back from the dead and done it anyway. So true.
Where else can people find you?

My son wears jeans every day, so the navy blue would probably be best for us.
I would probably go with a navy or beige colored one. My 20 month old is so skinny that we could really use this. :D
What a GREAT idea! I'd probably go with blue to use with blue jeans. Both of my little ones could use these. Thanks for the chance.

My daughter could so so so use this, her pants are always too wide in the waist if they're long enough in the leg. I would love to get her a pink Dapper Snapper but I would probably choose black because then she could wear it with everything all the time.
Thanks!

I like the black ones as they would match anything, the other colors are great but would have limited wearability!

Oh my gosh! I should have invented that. Its so cool and just the answer to my half a dozen kids and, there skinny waists and, droopy drawers.
I think a blue one would probably the best to start with as jeans are blue and it would blend in better.
Great work!
