Meet Grace of Tooth Tissues
Tell us a little about you...
I am a mom to two girls and a practicing dentist. I grew up in Canada and moved to Connecticut for my residency. While at the residency I met my husband, and my "temporary" stay in the Connecticut has lasted longer than I originally anticipated.
What is your business and where can we find it...
We created Tooth Tissues. Tooth Tissues are disposable dental wipes for baby and toddler smiles. They can be found at www.toothtissues.com. On our site, we have a list of current online stores that carry our product as well as the brick and mortar ones.
Is it mom-owned, invented, created...?
Yes. Mom and dad actually. My husband and I created, developed,and distribute Tooth Tissues.
A little about your entrepreneur journey so far?
We started out as accidental entrepreneurs. Our youngest daughter had a habit of falling asleep with her bottle. As dentists we knew that we couldn't let her sleep with the milk sitting in her mouth. If we were tired enough, which seemed like always, we would usually end up using our sleeves or anything else convenient to wipe out her mouth. When we were unable to find anything else to our liking on the market we decided to try to develop something that we would happily use and actually would use in an exhausted new parent state. I quickly realized that the advice I was giving new parents, that ALL dentists, give to new parents, was very difficult to follow and there needed to be a "convenience" product equivalent and better than a wet washcloth to get baby smiles off to the right start.

We need this because we are on the go quite a lot and it would be so much easier than carrying a toothbrush and worrying about it getting dirty.

I think these are great! I need these for my son's diaper bag because we are always on the go and I would like to keep his teeth clean no matter where we are. My son loves having his teeth brushed and would love these too. He thinks it is fun when something rubs his cute little teeth.

I'm still waiting on the tooth tissues I ordered in early March! Grace told me they're back ordered until April 20th, FYI. I want the tooth tissues because my four year old granddaughter just had four fillings in her baby teeth! I know her parents have her brush every day, but, obviously, she needs some help. I think using the tooth tissues throughout the day, ie. after each meal, would help prevent future cavities.

My husband and I both have big hands and thus, large fingers. By the time I cover a finger with a washcloth to wipe my baby daughter's gums, I feel like I'm going to choke her. These look like a much better solution.

I'd like to use these because whenever I try to brush my toddler's teeth, she insists on sucking on the toothbrush! It is always a hassle to clean her teeth, but my life would be hassle-free with these Tooth Tissues!
