YooHoo & Friends

These are very cute little plush animals which make fun little sounds when you squeeze them.  The website is a fun place for kids to explore and it is free to register.  I love that it teaches kids about animals around the world, including endangered species.

In their own words . . .

YooHoo & Friends is a virtual world based upon characters created by Aurora World. The characters are based upon real animals in their natural habitat all over the world. Some of them are endangered and children will be able to learn about each animal.

Visitors can learn about real animals and their environment, play games, send ecards,
download wallpapers, calendars and coloring sheets, as well as adopt and raise
YooHoo & Friends. The site is packed with quizzes and maps about animals, a ‘My Room’ section for taking care of your pet; a ‘Playground’ with animations and more than 15 games; as well as a fun zone for downloads, e-cards and keeping an eye on what’s happening with all the YooHoo & Friends.

YooHoo & Friends Animated Series: Aurora has announced a partnership with Toonzone Studios to co-produce an animated series starring Flavor Flav based on Aurora’s best selling plush animal line and international toy phenomenon, YooHoo & Friends™. Aurora has sold more than 5,000,000 YooHoo & Friends plush animals from the line, which teaches kids and families about animals and their environments via a free interactive web site www.yoohoofriends.com.
