Baby Diner- No More Spilled Meals! Win One!

If you simply go to this site to see the demonstration video, it’s worth it!  Have you ever had that nice big bowl full of food knocked to the floor by your little one?  Even as careful as we can be, we look away for a second and they grab that plate!  Baby Diner to the rescue.

This is a great product and easy to use.  “Baby Diner attaches to any smooth table top or structure and allows a parent or guardian to secure any smooth bottom sided plate, bowl or any other dishware to prevent young children from accidentally knocking or throwing dishes on the floor.”  Now I have to say that not all of my baby bowls worked well on this.  If they have that raised writing or a pattern (essentially making them not a smooth bottom bowl) they don’t stick all that well.  But those that were the right fit, stuck great.  It is essentially two suction cups, one for the plate and one for the table.

Working Mums, This is the Site for You!

As the “Mum” in the title might suggest, this is a great site for our UK Moms looking for job leads and advice.  You’ll find links to jobs, advice & support, franchises, and WM Magazine.  Want even more?  Head over to the WM blogs to join in the discussion!

If you’re interested in getting some job advice or in working from home, this site might just might be the right place to start.  As I brought up the main job screen, it tells me there are 1373 jobs currently available.  You can then narrow your search by choosing whether you want a temporary or permanent position, full or part time, the industry, and the location.  You can also search jobs by the latest jobs, featured jobs, and top employers.  Register with the site and you’ll be able to receive job alerts based on your criteria.

You can then head over to “Advice & Support” for a whole section on advice for working mums.  Today’s top story is an Ask the Expert section on holiday pay for contractors.  The Q & A section lets you ask questions and get answers, or read what others are asking about.  You’ll also find the Career Toolkit, giving you advice on “How to Boost Your Confidence” and “Going Back to Work.”  Career Advice gives you more Ask the Expert answers and top tips on work issues.

Whatever it is you’re looking for, there’s a good chance you’ll find it at workingmums.co.uk.  It’s a working mum’s toolkit to get you started or help you along.  Good luck!

If You LOVE Peanuts and Peanut Butter . . .

As if getting children to eat healthfully isn’t enough of a struggle, along comes Halloween.

This year, America’s peanut farmers are here to help.  The National Peanut Board has cooked up some tasty alternatives to standard sugar-loaded treats with five fun new recipes just for the occasion:  (Recipes below!)

PnutSpiders

· Peanut Butter Ball Spiders (Peanut butter, wheat pretzels, chocolate chips)

EggoWitchb

· Witch Faces (Peanut butter, frozen waffles, raisins, fruit leather)

ZombieFingers

· Zombie Fingers (Chicken breast cutlets dusted in peanut flour and pan fried)

MummyMilk

· Mummy Milk (Milk blended with peanut butter and chocolate syrup with whipped cream)

USA-grown peanuts and peanut butter are smart options because they’re packed with protein, nutrient rich and full of antioxidants.  Not only do kids love the taste, they’ll also enjoy helping mom and dad make the recipes.

Check out their iphone/ipod app!

We know that being a mom can lead to hectic, busy days.  Luckily, nutritious, energy-rich food ideas are now just a click away.

The National Peanut Board (NPB) has just launched a brand new iPhone app called Peanuts: Energy for the Good Life that will re-energize you and your readers in no time.  The free app offers recipes, snack suggestions and a five-minute mindfulness meditation exercise with Stephan Bodian, author of Meditation for Dummies ― tools to help people care for their bodies and minds throughout every part of every day.
